Hi folks, if you are reading this, I should believe that you guys have read my previous post.
Thanks for the patience you guys have put in reading, though many of them may have left reading the blog in between.
If you did not read it, please try to read it, its good, as I need some comments from you guys.
I am very happy for reading my blog post on The Great Ascent.
Now coming to the Return Journey, it was a journey we made to go to the office on Monday. The main dis-advantage is that we started the journey in the morning.
We that is Raghavendra, Srikanth, Chaitanya, do not forget me, started in the morning at around 7am-8am. Raghu caught the bus to Bangalore, and we left for the railway station to board a train to Hyderabad. To our astonishment there were no trains to Hyderabad, not even the passenger, thats why we boarded a train which will go to Warangal a district comparitively nearer to Hyderabad.
From there we started in a Super Fast Express which was rather not Super and simultaneously not fast, of course to keep up to the name it was given it was fast at times but was not satisfactory. Coming to the passengers in the train there was a social studies teacher who has had a good darshan of the Lord Almighty and was returning to Vijayawada with her family, comprising of her daughter and her husband. Here I am referring to her as she has the upper hand on all the talks. She and her husband were quarreling for quite a long time, and whenever they quarrel, their daughter use to take the persuading messiah position to persuade them with their meaningless terms. I called her messiah, even though the gender doesn't match and the readers of course doesn't catch it quite quickly, therefore I wanted to have a mention of it here -- anyway coming to the point she, the daughter used to save us from the big growls of her parents and soothing us with her pleasant but helpless smile, which in the long run (of the train until Vijayawada) has become quite a pleasant smile.
Coming to the journey, she (I mean the teacher) talked much about the journey, the trains, as we too had some doubts on the time table of the journey. As with any journey at first getting acquaintance will be the first priority and we will speak to the co passengers until we have reached a consensus on a common topic of interest. Then we will speak on that topic until it reaches it’s (the topic’s) individual threshold of understanding (both what we understand and what we have known on that topic).
After we talked on it until we have reached our threshold, we will start to caress a baby on its mother’s lap to gain her attention, it is not wrong; all are part of the journey dynamics, which differ from bus to train a lot.
I just want to put a point which almost all of them face when getting acquainted with the fellow or co passengers, whatever you call it. It is when we are talking with someone, we will have in our mind the thoughts of framing a sentence to speak to a girl, or woman, who you feel is looking good and is throwing a glance at you whenever the time speeds up, or any kind of such situation. That interests me much. I am just sharing with you.
These type of conversations get interrupted in the following cases, when the train stops, when any vendor boards the train and tries to sell something (often these are the conversation starters, but sadly sometimes because of some respect to personal privacy we do not glance at them and the topic or the trunk of the conversation will dissolve in the course of time)
There are two cases in which interruptions of a conversation cease to exist; this is a matter of interest sometimes. It is based on the gender and sometimes based on the topic itself. This happens when, the one who is speaking a topic is in sync with our interests and he has considerable knowledge on that. And when you sit in the compartment with a drunkard in the compartment, you listen or do not listen, you speak or do not speak, he will gain attention with his oratory skills (that is what he thinks – (the word ‘thinks’ used here is contradictory and even non-contradictory because, he can’t speak without thinking, and he can’t think when he is drunk – of course you know this is called irony and also called “catch 22 situation”)
Sorry for dragging you off the journey, but you know this is the part of the journey. At one of the stations one girl with her sister and brother boarded the train, it was a sweet experience. The girl is married, and this guy his brother works in the railways – not the departmental ones. He is taking his sister to home town, which is Warangal. It was a long journey from that station, whatever it is to Warangal. It was a happy experience; she sat beside me for at least 5hours. Then we changed seats, I sat opposite to her. During this journey, I was trying to hook this girl, but her sister (younger one) is trying to flaunt with me. It was a good experience. This is the only reason we did not get down at Vijayawada. Chaitanya and Srikanth are sleeping on the upper berths. I just sat at the window seat and was enjoying nature in and out of the train. These train journeys are like life, they give you all kinds of experience for only a brief moment of time. I said brief moment of time, because I compared it with life.
The train stopped at a station; there these guys who came with the girl were taking bath with the pipes from which the trains will be refilled. That was a good experience, I never know, someone can do like this. It’s good. Then Chaitanya told me that, this is what all Ayyappa Bhaktas will do when they go to Shabarimala by train. Ok then I thought this “You only know something only once” – maybe I did not put or frame the sentence correctly. For those who did not understand, it’s like “you do not know something – if you do not know it” (for elderly ones, that is above 20yrs.)
Ok then only we called Raghavendra, when I called him he was panting, as he was riding a bicycle from Majestic to Ullal in Bangalore. It is 17+ kilometers it seems. It was good, I can make out of his tone that he was happy and he was exhausted. It can be better put as “Happily Panting” J don’t go deep into the sentence, you will get other thoughts. But what a timing for the birth of this compound word which describes the situation as well as the urge deep inside the guys who are reading this. If you don’t understand do not worry, the message has already been conveyed to those who need it. And the irony here is there is no one who doesn’t need it. But the only ones who say they do not need it are those who lie. This is best understood if they ask the question for themselves, without any other thoughts in their minds.
Felt very good, hearing that Raghavendra (wrote full name because, raghu is not fed in the dictionary of MS Word) has bicycled from Majestic to Ullal. I appreciate. If you are reading, accept my appreciation. He was driving the bicycle so fast; I can feel it in his voice. GOODJ.
Coming to the compartment, they had their bath, and I was seeing the girl who is married. And another girl who I mentioned in the beginning, the social teacher’s daughter was a BE student. She was so inclined to the new touch screen phone that this Warangal girl was carrying. She asked many questions about the phone. I too answered a couple of them, but she was more inclined to the China model touch screen phone, may be keeping in view the budget her mother promised for the sake of a new phone. I thought of an incident which happened long back, once my friend called on my phone, coincidentally his name is also Raghavendra, I was not there; I forgot it and went to the office. Anil bhai answered the phone, and that guy asked if he forgot his clothes. Because these days a phone has become so integral to life it cannot be forgotten (but anyway signal strength is not in your hands). Coming back, the Warangal girl was speaking about the problems she is facing with her husband and all those kind of; we were pretending not to have heard their conversation. As an answer to our glances to their conversation in intervals, the guy who is her brother introduced them to be their sisters, and told all about their family. And he also revealed that the younger one has failed in Xth STD and was roaming with a guy, she felt shy and she was not seeing us until the conversation changed to another topic about the train timings and trains to Hyderabad from Warangal. Then she started to see us and was blushing. I do not know that she blushed or I felt like that after the conversation. Anyway the feeling doesn’t change now. But I felt very happy for our parents bringing up like this. They had done much to us. And if you keenly observe those girls’ father is a train driver. He will only be at home once in a month it seems. Maybe that is the reason. Anyway the journey was nice until Warangal.
We boarded off the train in Warangal at 1630 hrs. There we waited for a train which was due to arrive at 1830. These guys felt very hungry and went out of the station for some snacking. I told you go, while I will take care of the baggage, otherwise it would be foolish to take all the baggage with us.
Sorry to interrupt you – I just got a message from Google channels it reads like this
“We do not know what we want and yet we are responsible for what we are” – Jean Paul Sartre.
Good quote.
Back to station, I was sitting there and a family, there are lots of members, there are children, there are women, there are elderly guys there are middle aged persons, and there are young guys and girls. I felt like what a family. I just want to share what I have seen, there was a young mother, and her baby was with his /her grandparents. She was more inclined towards her beauty. She was sitting where the fan is there, she was not caring about any one, and she was kind of a show off.
The tea is just served; I will join you after I complete my tea.
Hi I am back. Tea was good kind of cardamom flavor. And where am I, yeah, this was the case with another girl also; she opened her purse and opened something which has a mirror and powder which stops the sweat. Dad’s friend brought it for akkayya once, when he was to Dubai. Then at last I got to know that this girl who is of 17 or 18 is this woman’s daughter. Here we have a good point to share, “Blame it on the GENE”J. And there were children who were happy to travel by train; their enthusiasm was seen on their faces and their actions. An elderly lady who was around 45, maybe the wife of the eldest son, I suppose. Was cool, calm, was not annoyed with any of the children’s foolish acts, as these children do to impress the crowd around. She was calmly thinking about what the elders are speaking. I can’t judge her personality, but by seeing her calm posture, her experience comes into existence and will fade the entire blur you have about the personality (it’s like first impression is the last impression).
Anyway the time was nearing by and these guys did not come yet, all these time until now from boarding off the train I was looking at this family and when the time was nearing by I was worrying what these guys are doing out there even after knowing about the timing of the train’s arrival. I was waiting for the image of the faces of these guys to fall on my image center in my brain, whilst I was looking keenly at the entrance which was facing me, as I was sitting in the 3rd platform, anyway in these kind of situations, anyone will see what they want to see. I was no exception, everybody were looking like them. Later I will ascertain that these are not the guys, then once I saw which I was expecting but ascertained these guys are the guys. Then they came, I wanted to speak to them about how disciplined they should be when they are somewhere other than their place. But these guys told that there was nothing out there, they simply wasted the time in searching for some snack bandi (in Telugu, vendor who has a cart loaded with eatables). I just told myself not to say anything as they themselves did not eat anything. Anyway we had something at the station itself (something is better than nothing). Then when the time arrived, sorry when we arrived at that time, (both of them are correct, maybe or may not be), the announcer at the station, took the mic and told that the train we are expecting to arrive was delayed by another hour. It was like bolt from the blue for us, who are expecting a cool ride, but all the guys there told that if the train arrives at 1930hrs or 2000hrs, then it would be so rush that there would be no place even to stand. I thought, these are like Chinese whispers, so there would be place to stand, and it takes another 3 to 4 hours from Warangal to Hyderabad.
We decided to take rest, so we spread our towels on the platform where there is no shelter to have a gaze at the stars which wanted to show their presence at the dead dawn, when the Sun is nowhere in the sky but the light is present, and the moon and the stars come out like the face of a beautiful girl seen, when the veil of her is blown away by a light breeze of cool air which is drawn by the forces of lot of guys who are yearning to see her face. And that too the face will not be revealed until the air acquires required amount of force to blow it away. That’s the beauty of star filled sky in dead dawn.
I tend to repeat lot of words; I will improve in due course, please bear with me.
At last the time has arrived, everybody were bracing themselves to board the last train to Hyderabad from Warangal. Then the train arrived, we spotted a boghi, which was not as rush, so we ran towards it. But the train was fast enough; we could not reach it and settled with another one, where there are many of passengers. As we have expected, it was not free, it was so packed in the beginning, and at one time I was standing on one leg. We were standing at the toilets. There was no other go. There was no air even, the oxygen in the compartment and the lungs are struggling together so hard to sustain the oxygen molecules present in each cell of our bodies, and their bodies too (co passengers). I can’t forget the other guys because if they were only not there, these sentences would not be present here. This was only for a brief moment of 5 minutes, but the affect lasted for a long half an hour. And as a token of bad luck, there was no fan in the middle - at the first four seats.
A funny thing happened at the toilet, when I and Chaitanya were standing with our bags there. We were waving our hands to have some air. But suddenly Chaitanya told that “I just discovered that, the waving the hand serves two purposes, one is getting the air, and another is driving away the odor from the toilets”, by hearing this everybody there laughed. Then we started cracking jokes and the journey was not so tiresome. And after a little bit time, we reached the middle of the compartment where there is fan, and it was like heaven, then we stayed there until we were at Secunderabad. There was a reason for this, that is the fan, but the other reason was there was a lady aged between 20 and 30 was seated with her boy friend. She was cool. And there was another lady, who had two children who are lkg ukg ones, I told her that we went to Tirupathi on steps, and my legs are very painful, I will handle your children, please let me sit, she did not listen to us and everybody told her to leave some space, even the lady asked but they did not. She kind of told her harshly, but the woman was so stubborn. She did not listen. After a little while we started imitating the woman. She got angry, but was not able to do anything. Then others there started discussing this and laughing. It was good, we were laughing. The tough part was getting in to the train and waiting for the train.
And there was another tough part that is water. We were so thirsty, like hungry for water. Then almost its one hour to Hyderabad, then we asked a guy who strangely forgot to remember that there is a full bottle of water in his bag. He opened this and there is lot of water. I asked him, he told let us complete. The water is almost nearing completion, then I told him that please share your happiness with us too. Then he laughed and gave the water to us. We drank a little, but that little was too much to bear, and the experience was overwhelming. Once again it was a good experience. Then, at last by the grace of Lord Almighty we reached Secunderabad, from there we friends parted our ways to our respective home sweet homes, but rather I should say, home hot home, because by the time I reached it was 1am, and Vadina had prepared hot-hot food on a cold-cold night. Ate it and then shared the experience with Anil bhai and Vadina, and then fell asleep, to get prepared to go to the fucking office the next day.
Please correct all the mistakes without fail. I am in need of a feedback. Please give your valuable feedback, so that I can make my future posts better.
